Author Calvin Wright recently led an engaging two-part workshop for the Henrico Heroes mentoring program at Brookland Middle School, where every student received a copy of his book, "The Wright Step Forward: The Four Quarters of Success." Through handouts and guided group discussions, he facilitated open dialogue centered on personal identity, standards, values, gratitude, happiness, and self-growth. Mr. Wright went above and beyond to build authentic connections with the youth, bringing candy for the group and even hosting playful arm-wrestling matches. Even during these high-energy moments, he masterfully tied every bit of fun back to the core components of his message to leave a lasting impact.
